The history of Mauy Thai was concerned with the history of Thai people who were peace loving for many centuries. They had defended themselves and their land from aggressive countries. It became a rite passage for Thai men to take up training in Thai martial arts.
The Great King Narasaen , in the year 1550-1605, ancient Ayudtaya, one of the most famous heroes of Thai Kingdom, is believed to have been an excellent boxer himself. He made Mauy Thai as required part of military training in the past.
